POSITION SUMMARY:

The Accounting Clerk works collaboratively with branch staff to ensure proper practices and policies are being followed. Also responsible for timely completion of inventory reconciliations and partial completion of bank reconciliations.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Related secondary education with General Accounting and/or 1-2 years hands on accounting experience
  • 1-2 years Inventory reconciliation an asset
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Intermediate computer skills and ability to learn new software programs
  • Strong organizational skills, with exceptional attention to detail
  • Well-developed problem solving and time management skills
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Subject to criminal record check
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics is an asset

Responsibilities
  • Complete inventory reconciliations on a monthly basis
  • Analyze inventory reconciliation and prepare adjusting entries as required
  • Work alongside branch admin to ensure proper policies and procedures are followed
  • Assists accounts payable with invoice entry and filing
  • Assist and back up payroll functions, including processing of commissions
  • Other duties as assigned
