We are seeking a detail-oriented and dedicated Accounting Clerk to join our dynamic finance team for 32 hours a week. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, excellent organizational skills, and a strong ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. This role is crucial to ensuring accurate financial record-keeping and providing essential support to our accounting operations.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree in accounting or related field preferred
  • Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a similar role is desirable
  • Software Proficiency: Familiarity with accounting software, preferably QuickBooks Online, and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
  • Skills: Strong numerical aptitude, attention to detail, and organizational skills
  • Communication: Effective verbal and written communication abilities

Responsibilities
  • Financial Record Maintenance: Accurately maintain financial records and ensure all entries reflect the company’s financial position
    -Accounts Payable and Receivable: Process invoices, payments, and receipts; monitor accounts to ensure timely payments and collections. Includes medical billing remittances, verifying claims were paid, tracking denied and short-paid claims, resubmit claims with corrections
  • Data Entry: Input financial data into accounting software with precision and efficiency
  • Bank Reconciliations: Assist in reconciling bank statements and resolving discrepancies
  • Donation Tracking: Assist in recording and reconciling donations received
  • Administrative Support: Provide general administrative support to the Finance Manager and company as needed
