We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Accounting Clerk / Junior Accountant to join our team and contribute to the continued success of our organization.

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Accounting Clerk / Junior Accountant will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day financial operations of the business. This role requires a detail-oriented professional with a minimum of five (5) years of accounting or bookkeeping experience who can effectively manage expenses, prepare accurate financial statements, and support strategic financial decision-making. This is a Monday to Friday, in-store position located in London, Ontario.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum five (5) years of experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or a related role.
  • Strong knowledge of financial reporting, balance sheets, and expense management.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel/Google Sheets.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Professionalism, punctuality, and reliability are essential.

Responsibilities
  • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including vendor invoices and customer billing.
  • Record and reconcile daily expenses, transactions, and account balances.
  • Prepare monthly financial reports, including balance sheets and income statements.
  • Support cash flow monitoring and ensure timely payment of financial obligations.
  • Develop and recommend best practices to optimize accounting efficiency and compliance.
  • Assist in preparing year-end financials and liaise with external auditors and accountants.
  • Maintain accurate and organized financial documentation in accordance with company standards.
