Description Job Summary: We are seeking a motivated and dependable Accounting Clerk to join our team. This is an entry-level position perfect for someone looking to launch their career in finance or accounting. You will work closely with our senior staff to learn the fundamentals of business accounting while keeping our records organized and up to date. Key Responsibilities: Inputting invoices, receipts, and payments into our accounting system with 100% accuracy. Setting up new vendor profiles in the system and ensuring all tax documentation (like Form W-9) is on file. Reviewing monthly vendor statements to ensure every single invoice listed has been received and processed. Printing checks for signature and ensuring all supporting backup documentation is attached for the manager's review. Organize paperwork by scanning, filing, and digitalizing financial documents so they are easy to find. Verifying that purchase orders match invoices and that the totals add up correctly. Reaching out to vendors to resolve any issues. Handling outgoing mail and assisting with basic banking tasks as needed. Assisting the Accounting Team with special projects and learning how to perform basic reconciliations. Any other duties as assigned. Requirements Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. No experience required. Basic understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Skills and Proficiencies Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, complex formulas). Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Excellent written and verbal communication abilities. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. High degree of accuracy and attention to detail. Must be a reliable team player who supports colleagues by being prepared and present. Must possess a high level of integrity in handling sensitive company information and maintain confidentiality at all times.
