QUALIFICATIONS

  • Diploma or certificate in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (e.g., Business Administration)
  • Experience with ACCPAC, Doclink, Smart Simple is considered an asset
  • Median skill level in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, Sharepoint)
  • Basic knowledge of Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
  • Proven ability to understand organizational priorities and consistently meet deadlines
  • Self-directed with ability to work independently and accomplish objectives with minimal supervision
  • Ability to multi task in a very busy environment and adapt to change and ambiguity
  • Approachable, Friendly, Solution Oriented
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
Responsibilities

ROLE DESCRIPTION:

This role is ideal for an individual with experience in full-cycle accounts receivable and accounts payable processes, including coding, and data entry. The Accounting clerk plays a key role in supporting the finance team, by ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and timeliness in day-to-day functions. This position is well suited for someone who is detail-oriented, organized, and thrives in a fast paced, collaborative environment.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Proven ability to accurately handle high volume of transactions, meet deadlines and prioritize workload in a fast paced environment
  • Primary responsibility for AR follow-up emails and calls.
  • Track ancillary service notes in our workflow database.
  • Invoicing and responding to customer or assessor inquiries.
  • Demonstrated ability to deal with a variety of people and answer queries in a professional manner
  • Flexible team player with the ability to function independently while working in a team environment
  • Must be reliable, with a strong work ethic and professional attitude
  • Must possess strong organizational and time management skills
  • Other administrative duties as assigned
