Description
Description The Accounting Clerk, operating under general supervision, is responsible for comprehensive support of the Accounts Receivable process. Key duties include daily invoicing, posting customer payments, ensuring timely collection of receivables, and managing correspondence related to invoices and payments with both customers and colleagues. Core Job Responsibilities: Accurately record customer payments by processing checks, credit card transactions, and ACH/Wire transfers. Maintain up-to-date daily cash posting documentation. Prepare and distribute invoices and account statements to customers. Organize and preserve accounts receivable records and files. Conduct professional collection calls while fostering positive customer relations. Ensure prompt receipt of payments from clients. Investigate and resolve account discrepancies by liaising with sales, customer service, quality departments, and customers. Complete bank and credit card reconciliations. Participate in inventory cycle counts and assist with semi-annual inventory activities. Support monthly close processes as required. Perform additional duties as assigned. Work Experience: Prior experience in accounting/accounts receivable is required; previous exposure to AR functions within a manufacturing environment is preferred. Technical Skills: Proficiency with ERP management systems, preferably SAP, and strong competency in Microsoft Office applications. Outstanding interpersonal and communication abilities, along with close attention to detail, are essential. Qualifications: A degree in Accounting or a relevant discipline is preferred.
