Description

Job Summary: The Accounting Clerk will be responsible for performing various accounting and administrative tasks in the accounting department.

Responsibilities:

  • Process customer credit applications
  • Process accounts receivable transactions in a timely and accurate manner, including invoicing, cash receipts, and collections
  • Process accounts payable transactions in a timely and accurate manner, including 3-way matching vendor invoices, check runs and submitting positive pay files to the bank
  • Maintain accurate financial records in accordance with company policies and procedures
  • Communicate with customers to resolve any issues or discrepancies
  • Light filing
  • Provide support to the accounting team as needed

REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1+ years accounting experience preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Familiar with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word
  • Great Plains experience is helpful but not required
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Good time management, organizational skills and commitment to schedule
    Physical Demands and Work Environment: The Accounting Clerk may be required to sit for extended periods of time and use a computer and other office equipment in an office setting. Some lifting of boxes may be required.
