JOB SUMMARY:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Part-Time Bookkeeper to support our tax and accounting services for small business and real estate clients. This role will be crucial in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring the smooth operation of our clients’ businesses. The ideal candidate will be proficient in bookkeeping practices, possess strong attention to detail, and be able to work independently.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Proven experience as a preferred).
  • Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks Online.
  • Strong understanding of basic bookkeeping principles.
  • Excellent data entry skills and a high degree of accuracy.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Associate’s degree in Accounting or a related field is a plus.
  • Experience working with small businesses and/or real estate investors is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with spreadsheet software (e.g., Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets).
  • Must maintain confidentiality of client financial information.
Responsibilities
  • Accurately record financial transactions, including income, expenses, and bank reconciliations.
  • Reconcile bank and credit card statements on a regular basis.
  • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
  • Process payroll for clients.
  • Prepare basic financial reports (e.g., profit and loss statements, balance sheets) as needed.
  • Assist with sales tax filings.
  • Maintain organized and accurate financial records and documentation.
  • Communicate effectively with the CPA regarding the status of bookkeeping tasks and any discrepancies.
  • Perform other bookkeeping and administrative tasks as assigned.
