We are a well-established and fast-growing car dealership located in Orleans, Ontario, committed to delivering exceptional service and a seamless car buying experience. We’re currently seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Accounting Clerk to join our dynamic team.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 1–2 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience (automotive experience an asset)
  • Experience booking automotive sales in a Dealer specific software
  • Understand how to manually prepare entries for complex transactions
  • Strong computer skills, particularly in Excel and accounting software
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Good communication and problem-solving abilities
  • Diploma or coursework in Accounting, Finance, or related field is an asset

Responsibilities
  • Process accounts receivable & make collection calls for past due accounts. Oversee accounts for 20-40 customers monthly.
  • Complete paperwork to license new and used vehicles to their new owners + follow a process that ensures smooth operation with the sales team
  • Follow a process for inputting new and used stock
  • Book and finalize vehicle deals in the DMS (Dealer Management System)
  • Understand debits and credits in a sales journal, understand how to handle controlled accounts (accounts with control #’s)
  • Reconcile daily sales, deposits, and payments
  • Prepare and post journal entries in the general ledger
  • Reconcile account schedules by using investigative methods within the DMS
  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing tasks
  • Support compliance with internal controls and financial policies
  • Collaborate with sales and finance teams to ensure deal accuracy and timely processing
