Description
Provides support to the group/department by performing a variety of daily accounting clerical duties. Provides administrative support to department as necessary and as required, which may include distribution of mail and preparing documents for scanning. Works under close/general supervision to perform semi-routing clerical/accounting duties. Verifies and enters data into Kronos time-entry system. This position is hourly nonexempt status, which means you are eligible for overtime pay. This position is hourly nonexempt status, which means you are eligible for overtime pay. Able and willing to work on-site, in-person at the Valero Port Arthur Refinery, required. High school diploma or GED required. Minimum six months payroll experience preferred. Experience in SAP preferred. Experience in Kronos Timekeeping system preferred. Experience with Timekeeping/Data Entry preferred. Ability to read and interpret company policies, regulatory guidelines, and other work-related documentation. Ability to abide by confidentiality requirements when working with sensitive information, results, and communications. Skill in providing thorough, efficient, and effective customer service to individuals at all levels within the organization. Ability to accomplish work within required timelines, including short, long, and emergency timeframes. Ability to multi-task and prioritize multiple assignments to ensure completion of tasks within stated time requirements. Basic skill using Microsoft Office programs (i.e., Word and Excel). All successful candidates must be eligible to obtain a TWIC card (Transportation Worker Identification Credential).
