Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Woodbridge, Ontario. This role involves managing both accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring accuracy in financial records, and providing administrative support to senior management. Responsibilities
  • Match vendor invoices with corresponding purchase orders, receiving reports, and packing slips to ensure accuracy in accounts payable.
  • Verify pricing, quantities, and product descriptions against purchase orders, and validate invoices with appropriate general ledger codes.
  • Process vendor invoices in the accounts payable system and organize weekly payment runs.
  • Maintain accurate filing of invoices and credits for audit purposes, and promptly resolve any discrepancies in accounts payable.
  • Analyze customer payment plans and histories, investigating short payments or discrepancies and coordinating resolutions with relevant departments.
  • Post daily cash receipts and adjust entries for authorized deductions to maintain accurate accounts receivable files.
  • Investigate and resolve account discrepancies by collaborating with customers and internal departments such as Sales and Customer Service.
  • Maintain daily time and attendance records and provide administrative support to senior management.
  • Assist in preparing correspondence and PowerPoint presentations as needed.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounts payable and accounts receivable roles.
  • Proficiency in accounting software such as Oracle, QuickBooks, SAP, and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong skills in account reconciliation, billing, and invoice processing.
  • Ability to handle data entry tasks with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Strong communication abilities for interacting with vendors, customers, and internal teams.
  • Knowledge of general ledger coding and financial recordkeeping.
  • Familiarity with maintaining attendance records and providing administrative support.
