We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our team on a contract basis in St. Thomas, Ontario. In this role, you will handle both accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, supporting our busy manufacturing environment. This position requires strong organizational skills, the ability to manage high volumes of transactions, and a proactive approach to financial processes.

• Process vendor invoices, performing three-way matches manually, including resolving issues with missing purchase orders and obtaining necessary approvals.
• Utilize JobBOSS for production-related tasks and QuickBooks Online for accounting operations.
• Manage a high volume of accounts payable transactions, addressing a backlog of invoices to ensure timely processing.
• Generate and submit customer invoices daily, logging into customer portals to ensure proper submission.
• Monitor accounts receivable by following up with customers for payments and managing cash flow effectively.
• Perform bank reconciliations for multiple accounts and currencies, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Prepare and post journal entries, maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records.
• Conduct account reconciliations to ensure all financial data aligns with company records and standards.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting, with a focus on accounts payable and receivable.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Excel for accounting tasks and data analysis.
• Strong skills in invoice processing, including three-way matching and vendor reconciliation.
• Experience with account and bank reconciliations, including handling multiple currencies.
• Ability to manage cash flow and follow up on outstanding payments with customers.
• Familiarity with customer portals for invoice submissions.
• Excellent data entry skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Previous experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment is an asset.
