ACCOUNTING CLERK - CREDIT AND COLLECTION

Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounting Clerk to join our Credit and Collection team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing accounts receivable, ensuring timely collection of outstanding invoices, and maintaining accurate financial records. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
Credit Risk Assessment
Assist in evaluating the creditworthiness of new and existing customers.
Accounts Receivable Management
Monitor and manage accounts receivable to ensure timely collection of outstanding invoices for assigned portfolio of customers.
Assist in the collection of withholding tax certificates
Verify and reconcile invoices as applicable.
Communicate with customers regarding overdue accounts.
Cash Application Process
Support in the application of customer payments and resolve discrepancis in a timely manner.
Collaboration and Communication:
Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth functioning of finance operations.
Communicate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders.
Management Reporting and Analysis
Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
Generate regular reports on accounts receivable and collection actvities and ensure compliance with policies and relevant regulations in all credit and collection activities.
Ad hoc Projects / Work:
Recommends improvements or adaptation on processes and procedures
Provide support in various finance-related initiatives.
Ability to work on night shift and during certain months when rostered.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other relevant financial software.
Prior experience in Oracle 11i or other ERP an advantage
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Eagerness to learn and ability to adapt to a fast-paced work environment.
Willing to work extended hours when neede
