POSITION SUMMARY

The Accounting Clerk is responsible for supporting the day-to-day accounting and administrative functions of the dealership. Working under the direction of the Controller, you will assist with a variety of tasks including accounts payable, accounts receivable, data entry, and general ledger support. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to maintain confidentiality.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

o Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; or equivalent work experience.
o At least some accounting experience (experience in an automotive dealership
environment is an asset).

COMMUNICATION & INTERPERSONAL SKILLS:

o Strong written and verbal communication skills.
o Ability to interact professionally with colleagues, vendors, and customers.

ORGANIZATIONAL SKILLS & ATTENTION TO DETAIL:

o Proven ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize workload efficiently.
o Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and confidentiality.

REGULATORY KNOWLEDGE & COMPLIANCE:

o General awareness of relevant provincial (Occupational Health and Safety Act,
Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act) and federal (Personal
Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act) regulations.
o Commitment to adhering to all company policies, legal guidelines, and best
practices.
