JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Proven experience in accounting and financial reporting, with expertise in complex financial processes.
  • Master’s degree in Finance or Accounting; CPA or similar certification preferred.
  • Deep knowledge of financial accounting principles, including IFRS, local GAAP, and R2R/I2P/I2C/Tax processes.
  • Strong analytical abilities and problem-solving skills under tight deadlines.
  • Hands-on approach, with the ability to work in a fast-paced, matrix organization.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of effectively engaging finance and business leadership.
  • Experience with ERP, HFM, and Merlin (or willingness to learn).
  • Fluent in English, both verbal and written.
  • Experience in driving change and influencing stakeholders.
Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Accounting Controller is a key finance leader responsible for ensuring high-quality financial reporting, compliance, and operational excellence. This role serves as a crucial link between various stakeholders, including Commercial and ISC Navigators, FP&A, RAC, and ACD, to achieve financial and operational goals. The Accounting Controller will oversee financial reporting for assigned legal entities and drive standardization in accounting processes.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Proactively monitor the quality of balance sheets and income statements for assigned legal entities, collaborating with Business Navigators, FP&A, Functional Controllers, RAC, and GBS/Infosys.
  • Ensure accurate and timely monthly financial reporting for assigned legal entities at local and regional levels.
  • Develop and implement company-wide guidelines for balance sheet reviews to align with accounting requirements.
  • Drive compliance with IFRS, webFEM, and local statutory and fiscal requirements.
  • Act as the first point of contact for retained finance functions, ensuring seamless interactions with internal stakeholders.
  • Lead standardization efforts within local retained accounting processes and contribute to global finance transformation initiatives.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify risks and opportunities in financial processes and reporting, ensuring transparency and accuracy.
  • Oversee statutory reporting, tax filings, and engagement with auditors, tax experts, and external advisors.
  • Ensure adherence to internal control frameworks, including authorization matrices, financial compliance processes, and treasury policies.
