Description

Role and Responsibilities
The Corporate Controller reports to the Chief Financial Officer of the company and is responsible for providing financial, administrative, and clerical services. This includes but is not limited to:
· Responsible for the corporate balance sheet, its accuracy, and related reconciliations.
· Manage cash flow for the business including AR, AP, and investments. Make cash-related recommendations to the CFO.
· Manage Treasury related transactions.
· Examine financial records and statements for accuracy.
· Analyzes financial data, making recommendations as appropriate to improve accuracy, efficiency, and to reduce costs.
· Inspects the budget and general ledger for assigned departments and accounts, ensuring that funds are available, and expenditures are assigned correctly.
· Reviews and/or assist with preparation of financial statements and records provided to federal, state, and internal auditors and similar personnel.
· As appropriate, identifies and recommends updates to accounting systems and procedures.
· Assists as needed with preparation of annual financial reports and audits.
· Support other members of the department when needed.
· Other duties as assigned by the President, VP, or CFO.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Accounting, or Finance required.
  • Certified Public Accountant designation preferred but not required.
  • Minimum of seven to ten years of experience in financial management or reporting required.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel experience and solid IT experience in general.

PREFERRED SKILLS

· Large construction company experience preferred.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
· Proficient in Microsoft office, Foundation software or related software.
· Ability to operate related office equipment, such as computers, 10-key calculator, and copier.
· Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment.
· Ability to anticipate work needs and interact professionally with constituents.
· Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
