JOB SUMMARY:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically savvy Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable and receivable, reconciling bank statements, and preparing financial reports. In addition to traditional bookkeeping responsibilities, this role requires advanced computer skills and a strong aptitude for technology. The candidate will leverage these skills to assist in the setup and maintenance of accounting software and other digital tools essential to our operations.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Proven experience as a bookkeeper or in a related role. Solid understanding of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, or similar).
  • Strong computer skills, including advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook etc.).
  • Familiarity with cloud-based accounting and project management tools.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with accounting software and other digital tools.
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience with database management and data analytics.
  • Knowledge of CRM systems and e-commerce platforms.
  • Certifications in bookkeeping or accounting (e.g., CPB, QB ProAdvisor).
Responsibilities
  • Perform daily bookkeeping duties, including data entry, accounts payable/receivable, and bank reconciliations.
  • Prepare financial statements, balance sheets, and income statements.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records in compliance with company policies.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures.
  • Prepare and file sales tax documents as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and standards.
  • Utilize accounting software and other financial tools efficiently to complete tasks.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues with accounting software and other related digital tools.
  • Assist in the implementation of new technologies and software as needed.
  • Maintain data security and confidentiality at all times.
