Description Specialty Metals Corp is looking for an experienced Accounting & HR Manager to join our team! The position will be responsible for all accounting and human resource functions and managing the accounting staff. The professional who fills this position will be a crucial part of the management team and will provide daily financial and HR leadership. This hands-on role ensures accurate financial reporting, compliance with all employment laws/regulations and effective payroll processing. The Accounting & HR Manager will report directly to the VP. Salary range: $100,000 - $125,000 Why should you apply? Competitive pay Great work-life balance & family culture Company paid employee medical/dental/vision benefits 401(k) with company match Vacation – 1 week after 6 months, 1 week at a year, 2 weeks after 2 and 3 years, 3 weeks for years 4-9 and 4 weeks for 10+ years Sick leave – 1 hour of sick leave for every 40 hours worked 7 paid holidays Requirements Key functions and responsibilities include but not limited to: Monthly/quarterly/annual financial reporting and closing including financial statements and budgeting Preparation of various tax filings and reports for local, state, and federal government Oversee day-to-day financial accounting operations Manage the accounting staff including the A/P & A/R Clerk Responsible for daily treasury and banking functions Negotiate and maintain company insurance policies Responsible for all HR functions including onboarding new hires, terminations, biweekly and bonus payrolls, HR-related compliance and investigations, filing necessary claims and maintaining accurate and up to date confidential personnel files Manage employee benefits including insurance and 401(k) Other operational duties as necessary Qualifications and Skills Strong knowledge of accounting principles, HR practices and labor laws 5+ years’ Accounting experience preferred 3+ years Human Resources experience preferred Bachelor’s degree in accounting preferred Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills Strong communication and leadership skills Ability to maintain strict confidentiality; highly ethical and dependable High level of proficiency in excel Our Company is an Equal Employment Opportunity Company.
