Focusing on Indonesian consumers being super sticky to their phones, Populix facilitates a diverse range of data collection methods via its mobile app. What You Will Do: We are seeking a highly skilled Accounting Information System (AIS) Specialist on a freelance/contract basis to support our organization in optimizing, implementing, and maintaining accounting and financial reporting systems. The role requires expertise in both accounting principles and information systems, ensuring seamless integration between financial processes and technology platforms. Key Responsibilities Analyze current accounting workflows, processes, and reporting needs to recommend system improvements. Design, configure, and implement Accounting Information Systems (AIS) to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and compliance. Integrate AIS with other business applications (ERP, CRM, HRIS, etc.) to streamline data flow. Develop and customize reporting templates, dashboards, and automation tools for financial analysis. Ensure compliance with accounting standards, audit requirements, and data security protocols. Collaborate with stakeholders to continuously evaluate and upgrade system performance. Document workflows, policies, and procedures related to AIS usage and controls. What You Will Need: Proven experience (1–2 years) in Accounting Information Systems, ERP/financial systems, or related fields. Strong background in accounting, financial reporting, and internal controls. Hands-on expertise with AIS/ERP platforms (e.g., SAP, Oracle NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics, QuickBooks Online, Odoo, Xero, or similar). Solid understanding of database management, system integration, and process automation. Proficiency in financial data analysis and reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Excel). Ability to translate business/accounting needs into technical system solutions. Strong communication skills for stakeholder engagement and user training. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems Preferred Qualifications : Experience in freelance or project-based system implementation. Familiarity with Indonesian/IFRS/US GAAP accounting standards (depending on your organization’s context). Knowledge of data governance for financial systems. Project management experience (Agile/Waterfall methods).
