Description

As one of the world’s largest networks of audit, tax and consulting firms, RSM delivers big ideas and premium service to help middle-market businesses thrive. We are a fast-growing firm with big ambitions - we have a clear goal to become the premium adviser to the middle market, globally. This vision touches everything we do, motivating and inspiring us to become better every day. If you are looking for a firm where you can build a future and make an impact, then RSM is the place for you.

MAKE AN IMPACT AT RSM UK

We are looking for an Assistant Manager to join our Accounting, Insight & Advisory (AIA) team. In this role, you will be a key member of the growing Finance Function Support national team, with a focus on the private businesses within the Northern region. As an Assistant Manager you will support the wider team and assist managers to effectively deliver work across a portfolio of SME corporate clients, focusing on annual compliance needs, relationship building, and solving day to day issues clients face. This will include the practical application of accounting standards under FRS 102 and FRS 105 across a wide variety of industries and specialist areas.
The fast growth of the department will create opportunities to develop further skill sets including business development and coaching of junior staff. It will also present an opportunity to expand your internal network and work with a variety of colleagues and service lines across the UK, as well as supporting your local office.

You’ll make an impact by:

  • Supporting managers to deliver an all-round premium service and quality end product to our clients
  • Managing a portfolio of clients, including client care responsibilities, project management and WIP/billing management
  • Building strong, trusted relationships with clients and acting as a key focal point of contact
  • Taking the lead/supervisory on assignments as and when required
  • Training and developing junior members of the team, assisting them with areas they need support with and offering constructive feedback where possible

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

We value diverse experiences and perspectives. Here’s what we’re looking for in our ideal candidate:

  • ACA qualified or equivalent
  • UK GAAP experience – FRS 102 and FRS 105
  • Experience of working in a professional practise, ideally in an equivalent accounting advisory team
  • A strong understanding of UK financial reporting requirements
  • Experience working with clients
  • Experience of supervision of junior staff
  • Previous experience of CCH Accounts Production would be desirable, but not essential.
