Description About the Role Holladay Properties is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accounting Intern to join our team in Nashville, TN. This internship provides hands-on exposure to real-world accounting operations and is an excellent opportunity for students or recent graduates pursuing a degree in accounting, finance, or a related field. The intern will support day-to-day accounting functions while gaining practical experience in a professional environment. Key Responsibilities • Assist with daily accounting operations, including accounts payable and accounts receivable • Reconcile bank statements and other financial accounts • Support month-end and year-end close processes • Help prepare financial reports, schedules, and analysis • Maintain accurate financial records and documentation • Assist with audits, compliance tasks, and special projects as needed • Perform administrative support tasks related to the accounting department Requirements Qualifications • Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field • Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial statements • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with accounting software is a plus • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills • Ability to handle confidential financial information with integrity • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team Preferred Skills (Not Required) • Experience with Yardi or other ERP systems • Prior internship or coursework involving accounting or bookkeeping • Interest in public accounting, corporate accounting, or finance What You’ll Gain • Hands-on accounting experience in a professional setting • Mentorship from experienced accounting professionals • Exposure to real financial operations and reporting • Resume-building experience and potential future employment opportunities Compensation • Paid internship $21.00 - $22.00 per hour. • Work week, 25 hours per week maximum.
