Description JOB PURPOSE: The Accounting Intern supports the finance team with day-to-day accounting functions while gaining hands-on experience in a professional environment. This role provides exposure to core accounting processes, financial reporting, and internal controls, helping the intern build practical skills aligned with their academic studies. Requirements PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Assist with data entry and maintenance of financial records. Support accounts payable processes, including invoice review and coding. Help reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts. Organize and maintain accounting files and documentation. Assist in preparing financial reports and spreadsheets. Support month-end close activities. Reconciling balance sheet accounts. Analyzing expense accounts. Assist with audit preparation as needed. Conduct basic research and troubleshoot as necessary. All Other Duties as Assigned QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: Willingness to learn and take initiative. High level of attention to detail. Able to build relationships at all levels of the organization. Exceptional interpersonal, oral, presentation and written communication skills. Organized with excellent project management skills. Ability to work in fast-paced, changing environment. Demonstrated strong performance in problem solving, analytical, innovative, and critical thinking. Ability to handle confidential information with discretion. Strong organizational and time management skills. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Currently pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Basic understanding of accounting principles. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general computer skills. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Prolonged periods of sitting, using repetitive motion, typing, using hands and fingers and hearing. Frequent periods of standing, walking, and talking. Occasional periods of lifting office materials up to 20lbs.
