Job Description: UPS Global Accounting Centre (GAC) is seeking 2 motivated interns to join our team for a 4-month internship in 2026 2H. This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in financial reporting, audit processes, and regional accounting projects while working in a dynamic, international environment. You will collaborate with experienced finance professionals and contribute to meaningful projects that support our global operations. Key Responsibilities System Implementation Support the implementation of Workiva, a cloud-based platform used for financial and regulatory reporting Assist in preparing audited financial statements, Board reports, and XBRL tagging in compliance with regulatory requirements Contribute to data integration efforts, consolidating information from Oracle Cloud, spreadsheets, and external databases Statutory Audit (Interim) & Year-End Close Tracking Support interim audit testing for Japan and APAC entities Collaborate with internal teams and external auditors to support audit preparation and execution (interim and year-end) Month-End Variance Reporting & Commentary Support month-end close review process Assist in variance analysis and preparation of financial commentary US GAAP to Local GAAP Conversion Assist in the conversion of Japan entities’ financials from US GAAP to J-GAAP Support early adoption of the J-GAAP IFRS-aligned lease accounting standards Key Requirements Currently pursuing a degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field at an accredited educational institution in Singapore Basic understanding of accounting principles, audit processes, or regulatory requirements Demonstrates aptitude and interest in working with ERP systems and financial reporting platforms Possess understanding of internal controls and prior automation-related project experience will be preferred Strong Excel skills, with exposure to financial variance analysis and data analytics Strong communication and presentation skills in English; additional proficiency in Asian languages (e.g., Chinese or Japanese) is a plus as you may collaborate with stakeholders in these regions Display proactive mindset, attention to detail, and willingness to learn in a collaborative environment Employee Type: Intern UPS is committed to providing a workplace free of discrimination, harassment, and retaliation.
