ACCOUNTING LOAN SPECIALIST

Position Summary: The Loan Accountant is responsible for executing and managing loan operations for First Choice and Smart Choice customers. This generically also includes loan account management, loan servicing, recordkeeping, and adherence to a comprehensive set of business controls designed to mitigate risk.

Required skills:

  • Strong financial/accounting acumen.
  • Detail-oriented; must be able to execute/review a large number of different transactions with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Skilled in producing basic reports and understanding the impact of complex transactions.
  • Ability to problem-solve where discrepancies exist and quickly remedy.
  • Excellent communication skills; written and verbal.
  • Exceptional time-management & organizational skills, with an ability to multi-task and handle conflicting priorities.
  • Strong work ethic and desire to work within a team environment
Responsibilities
  • Customer Service. Serves as primary liaison to customers for account and transactional questions.
  • Titling. Manages titling for all First Choice closings.
  • Accounts Payable. Manages AP for First Choice and Smart Choice
  • Accounts Receivable. Manages AR for First Choice and Smart Choice
  • Transactional Posting. Executes all transactions related to loan accounts including payoffs and repurchases, ensuring all monthly loan transactions are accurately posted and all fees, reimbursements and transfers of cash are booked accurately and timely.
  • SUN Transactional Processing. Manages the booking of SUN transactions to the respective property/resident accounts.
  • Marketing Fees. Books marketing fees to individual property accounts.
  • Insurance Claims. Processes all Smart Choice insurance claims.
  • Line of Credit. Assist with the Line of Credit processing monthly.
  • Reporting. Prepares monthly/quarterly reports for accounting transfer and audit procedures.
  • Business Controls. Assists in development of, and adherence to, system controls to ensure data integrity and financial reporting accuracy.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
