Description SUMMARY: The Accounting Manager will lead our accounting team and oversee the daily operations of the Accounting Department. This role is responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of financial statements and reports, managing the monthly close process, and maintaining compliance with GAAP. The Accounting Manager must demonstrate a high level of confidentiality, attention to detail, and professionalism while supporting the integrity of financial operations and contributing to strategic financial planning and reporting. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential job functions. • Oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations. • Manage and mentor a team of accountants and support staff. • Review and approve monthly journal entries. • Prepare and review consolidated financial statements, ensuring compliance with GAAP and company policies. • Ad hoc reporting as requested. • Coordinate and lead the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes. • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis. • Ensure timely and accurate tax filings. • Lead annual financial audits. • Implement and maintain internal controls and accounting policies. • Support financial planning and analysis functions as needed. • Drive process improvements and automation initiatives to enhance efficiency. • Stay current with regulatory changes and industry best practices. • Maintain strict compliance with State, Federal and other regulations (e.g., OSHA, WC, HIPAA, ADA, FEHA, DOL, HR policies and practices). • Other related duties as assigned by management. Requirements QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS: REQUIRED: • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. • Minimum 6 years of accounting experience, including prior staff management experience. • Strong leadership skills. • Ability to explain and understand complex financial data. • Handle pressure well especially during the audit and financial close. • Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., NetSuite). • Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills. • Extensive knowledge of GAAP. • Innate sense of integrity and ethics. • Advanced Excel knowledge (managing spreadsheets, using advanced analytics). • Ability to work independently and collaboratively. DESIRABLE: • CMA or CPA is a plus • Experience in Healthcare. • Familiarity with ERP system implementations or optimization.
