  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance AND
  • 8 years of industry experience AND 2 years of Senior or equivalent experience OR 6 years of public accounting experience
  • CPA preferred

RESPONSIBILITIES

Altec, Inc. is hiring an Accounting Manager in Birmingham, AL (Corporate). Associates in this position maintain financial records and complete transactions. These associates understand the relationship between transactions and the potential impact to the business. They work independently and are a collaborative team member for the accounting team and their respective company.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Complex accounting responsibilities including but not limited to:
  • Researching accounting issues for compliance with GAAP
  • Acquisition due diligence
  • Presenting internal financial statements
  • Demonstrate full understanding of accounting process and procedures within assigned area
  • Mentor, train and direct the work of the team
  • Financial analysis, and modeling - understanding results, developing conclusions, projecting future results
  • Champion of issue identification and resolution affecting multiple accounts and/or departments
  • Lead projects and continuous improvement initiatives
  • May have direct reports
  • All other duties as assigned
