POSITION STATEMENT:   * Under the Supervision of the Divisional Controller, the Accounting Manager directs financial activities of the company. In addition, as an employee of APIS, the Accounting Manager will assume an active role in improving his/her department/program outcome and overall organizational performance through participation in company quality improvement activities. RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE JOB AND ESSENTIAL ELEMENTS: * Direct Duties:   * The duties of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:  * Along with the Divisional Controller, establishes or recommends to management, major company economic strategies, objectives, and policies. * Recommend modifications to existing company programs. * Prepare reports which summarize and forecast company business activity and financial position in areas of  * income, expenses, and earnings based on past, present, and expected operations. * Assist in preparation of budgets, prepare necessary supporting documentation and justification. * Provide management with timely reviews of company’s financial status and progress in its various programs. and activities. * Coordinate audits with funding sources, external audit firms, and regulatory agencies. * Develop and maintain relations with funding sources, financial institutions, and other company contacts. * A valid driver’s license may be required as condition of employment. * Perform other duties as by supervisor. Special Requirements:  * Prior experience in a multi-company environment, or affiliate structure * Prior experience in children and family human service industry * Responsibility overseeing financial operations for multiple cost centers * Experience in ADP/Oracle * Experience with EHRs, preferably Credible MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:  * Bachelor's degree (BA) in accounting  * Five (5) years related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. * Oracle Fusion knowledge preferred. * Grant accounting and reporting experience. * Advanced competency in Microsoft Suite. * Knowledge of accounting standards and regulations. * Superb organizational and time management abilities. * Excellent communication and collaboration skills. * Knowledge of organizational development and program operations. * Ability to recognize and be responsive to the needs of the organization and staff.  NETWORK FUNCTIONS: * Maintain and abides by OSHA requirements and guidelines. * Observes all Fire and Safety Policies and Procedures * Observes all Fiscal/Office/HR Personnel Policies and Procedures * Observes all HIPAA Policies and Procedures and maintains confidentiality. * Attends all required and scheduled trainings and meetings. * Always maintain a professional demeanor and exercise good judgment in all areas of employment duties EQUIPMENT/MACHINES: * Laptop or Desktop Computer * Cellular and Multi-Line Phone Systems * Printer, Copier, Fax Machines, and other general office equipment * Calculator * Accounting Software(s) PHYSICAL DEMANDS: * Must be able to sit for prolonged periods of time, comfortable working in an office setting, sitting at a table or desk and completing activities which may include reaching, lifting, bending standing, stooping, twisting, climbing steps, driving a vehicle. * ACCIDENT, HEALTH HAZARD AND SECURITY KNOWLEDGE: * Blood borne Pathogens, Right- To- Know, HIPAA, Security Acts, Fire & Safety * WORKING CONDITIONS: * Office setting * ADHERE TO AND FOLLOW: * The By-Laws of the Corporation and as set forth in the Articles of Incorporation About Company: Apis Services, Inc.
