DESCRIPTION

Our South Vancouver client is looking for a driven and experienced Accounting Manager to join the team. This is an excellent opportunity for an Accounting Manager or experienced Sr Accountant with a strong background in small to mid-sized business (SME) environments, ready to take the next step in their career.
Salary ranging from $100,000 - $120,000 + Bonus
Location: South Vancouver (in-office)

Responsibilities:

  • Lead Financial Close & Reporting: Oversee monthly close and deliver timely, accurate financial statements and dashboards for stakeholders and board presentations.
  • AR/AP Management: Oversee AP and AR functions to optimize cash flow, drive collections, ensure timely vendor payments, and maintain strong internal controls.
  • Billing Process Optimization: Improve billing accuracy and efficiency through process enhancements and automation tools.
  • Inventory & Job Cost Accounting: Maintain accurate inventory records and job profitability tracking; collaborate with project teams to improve margins.
  • Cash Flow & Banking: Manage cash flow forecasting, banking relationships, and working capital to support financial stability.
  • Strategic Finance & Forecasting: Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning while implementing scalable systems and processes.
  • IT Infrastructure Oversight: Ensure reliable and secure IT systems; manage vendors and budgets to align with strategic goals.

Requirements:

  • Designated CPA required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting & Finance
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience within an SME environment
  • Systems experience with MS Excel and Sage will be highly regarded
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
