POSITION OVERVIEW

The Accounting Manager will be responsible for managing the day-to-day accounting functions, preparing financial reports, overseeing internal controls, and ensuring compliance with regulations. This role will also require strong collaboration with warehouse operations, procurement, and sales teams, as well as frequent communication with Mandarin-speaking suppliers and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and general ledger functions.
  • Manage month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Prepare budgets, forecasts, and financial analysis to support business decision-making.
  • Monitor cash flow, bank reconciliations, and working capital.
  • Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP, tax regulations, and company policies.
  • Implement and maintain strong internal controls to safeguard assets and improve efficiency.
  • Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory agencies as needed.
  • Support warehouse operations by reconciling inventory, purchase orders, and cost of goods sold.
  • Communicate effectively in Mandarin with suppliers, partners, and internal team members.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or CMA preferred).
  • Minimum 5 years of progressive accounting experience; at least 2 years in a supervisory/managerial role.
  • Experience in food distribution, seafood, or warehouse operations strongly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, tax compliance, and financial reporting.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar) and advanced Excel skills.
  • Bilingual in Mandarin and English (both written and spoken).
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic warehouse/distribution environment.
