POSITION DESCRIPTION

Adele Diamond is a rapidly growing successful privately owned company in the retail jewelry industry. As the Accounting Manager you are responsible to plan, organize and implement all company and personnel financial and accounting activities according to clearly defined Adele policies and procedures and protect Company assets. You may have select support responsibilities to Officers and Managers as it relates to reporting and office administration.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

  • Personal compatibility with Adele corporate culture and values
  • Proficiency equivalent to Microsoft Specialist Certification in Word and Expert Certification in Excel
  • Extremely proficient in QuickBooks
  • Familiar with POS Systems
  • Excellent planning, organizational and multitasking skills

Responsibilities
  • Overseeing all financial activities, including financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Full charge accounting functions including bank and credit card reconciliations, general ledger management and month end close for Company
  • Generating multiple financial reports and key performance indicators not generated through Quick Books
  • Assure all tax requirements are being achieved, inclusive of 1099s, sales & use tax, property tax, business licenses, etc.
  • Ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations, including the preparation of sales and use tax returns and supporting documentation
  • Preparing and assisting with all external audits such as, worker’s compensation, sales tax, and insurance
  • Processing all incoming and outgoing employee financial documentation
  • Administering Accounts receivables and customer financing through outside financial sources
  • Managing bank accounts, credit cards as well as other vendor accounts
  • Processing documents related orders in process
  • Managing accounts payables and payroll
  • Assisting in the development and implementation of internal controls and financial policies to safeguard company assets.

  • Preparation and assistance with annual tax return planning and preparation
