Position Summary - Salary Range $73,000 - $77,000 Annually The Accounting Manager is responsible for focusing on the profit and ability of the business. The role oversees various accounting functions throughout daily operation.   Essential Functions * Must adhere to the company’s Service culture – 4 Keys to creating guests for life. * Must participate in all resort required meetings and trainings. * Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which includes wearing the proper uniform/business attire and nametag. * Maximize efforts towards productivity, identify problem areas and assist in implementing solutions. * Accounts receivable functions: * Group Billing – Local, Social, Golf, and Large Groups. * Guest Inquiries – Transient, Group, Member, Owner * In charge of accounts payable functions, charge backs and balance sheet reconciliations. * Must be able to understand and apply complex information, data, etc. from various sources to meet appropriate objectives. * Prepare and submit required reports in a timely manner. * Monitor quality of service in the department. * Ensure compliance with SOP’s and procedures in the department. * Assist with the management of the interviewing process of candidates for department positions and follow standards for hiring approvals. * Assist with the management of department associates. * Comply with weekly and monthly forecasting procedures. * Effectively work with the department head to manage and communicate cash flow related issues. This includes the accurate and timely preparation of cash flow statements, management of receivables, payables, cash balances, control mechanisms and timely deposits of all funds. * Monitor resort revenues and expenses and ensure the accurate recording in accordance with Resort’s established guidelines. * Analyze financial data and operations. * Ensure that all balance sheet accounts, including bank reconciliations, are reconciled on a timely basis. * Establish and continually audit all internal financial controls including purchasing, cash handling, disbursements, inventories, resort assets, master keys, payroll, and employee records. * Ensure implementation and completion of all Accounting Key Competencies, both management and hourly. * Maintain compliance with Silverado Resort standards and regulations to ensure safe and efficient operation of the resort. * Ensure the proper utilization, maintenance, and periodic upgrades of all equipment. * Abide by all resort policies and safety rules. * Perform other duties as requested by management. Qualifications * At least 2 years of progressive experience in a resort or a related industry required. * Proficiency in Microsoft applications is required.
