Key Responsibilities Manage monthly close process and general ledger activity Oversee daily accounting operations including AP, AR, payroll support, and reconciliations Prepare monthly financial reports for leadership review Maintain job costing, WIP schedules, and revenue recognition reporting Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes Support annual audits, tax requests, and compliance reporting Improve accounting procedures and reporting efficiency Partner with operations leaders to monitor job performance and profitability Help mentor and support accounting staff as the team grows What We’re Looking For Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required 4+ years of progressive accounting experience Prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred Strong knowledge of GAAP and month-end close processes Experience with job costing, WIP accounting, or construction accounting preferred ERP experience such as NetSuite or similar strongly preferred Background in construction, HVAC, mechanical contracting, or service industries highly preferred Strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills Hands-on mindset with the ability to solve problems and improve processes Why Join Bates Air Conditioning?
