Accounting Manager – Construction 📍 Berkeley, CA (Onsite) 💰 $140,000–$160,000 base DOE + bonus potential 🎁 Generous benefits + 401(k) with company match Our client, a 4th-generation family-owned and operated subcontractor construction company, is seeking a hands-on Accounting Manager to lead accounting and financial operations. This is a high-visibility, onsite role ideal for an Accounting Manager or Senior Accountant ready to step into an Accouting Manager position. What You’ll Do Lead full-cycle accounting, month-end and year-end close Prepare financial statements and management reports Manage WIP, job costing, and percentage-of-completion accounting Oversee cost accounting and project financials Handle union accounting, reporting, and payroll coordination Assist with lien releases and project documentation Complete customer and project pre-qualification packages Support budgeting and forecasting initiatives Manage banking relationships, including line of credit reporting and covenant compliance Support HR-related accounting functions (medical insurance, pension programs) Serve as the financial lead for the office, supporting ownership and leadership What They’re Looking For 5–10+ years of full-cycle accounting experience Construction industry experience required (GC or subcontractor) Strong cost accounting and WIP reporting experience Experience with $10M–$20M+ revenue environments Hands-on professional comfortable owning all aspects of accounting Vista by Viewpoint software experience REQUIRED Ability to communicate professionally with banks and AR customers Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (highly preferred) **************LOCAL CANDIDATES ONLY ************ Please Note: This position is open to candidates who are authorized to work in the United States without the need for current or future visa sponsorship.
