As the Accounting Manager, you will report to the Assistant Controller and will be responsible for various aspects of financial accounting, reporting and compliance to ensure accuracy, efficiency and adherence to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and regulatory standards. This role also requires a strong understanding of financial systems, particularly Sage Intacct, Salesforce and Kantata, as well as excellent organizational and communication skills. The Accounting Manager will partner with a team of accounting professionals and collaborate closely with cross-functional departments to ensure accurate and timely reporting of CrossCountry’s financial results. This position is based out of our DC office and the person is expected to be in the office three days per week.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 6+ years of hands-on accounting experience in a corporate environment. Prior experience in professional services (public accounting, management consulting or advisory firm) is strongly preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Accounting.
  • CPA strongly preferred.
  • Advanced proficiency in Accounting ERP (Sage Intacct) and Intermediate proficiency in resource management applications (Kantata) and CRM systems (Salesforce), with the ability to configure, troubleshoot, and optimize these systems.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Windows, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook with advanced proficiency in Excel.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to identify trends, discrepancies, and anomalies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of collaborating with cross-functional teams and addressing client inquiries.
  • Problem-solving mindset, with the ability to proactively identify process inefficiencies and implement effective solutions.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills, able to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
