Description

Accounting Manager German Entities is a key role supporting the German region. This role has full responsibility for financial statements, audits, SOX, following global accounting policies and other ad-hoc projects for the region. The Accounting Manager would report to Regional Finance Manager and will lead one Senior Accountant.
This role faces several key customers as part of both daily responsibilities and as part of project teams, including Finance and Tax (support for Corporate Income Tax )

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • 4/ 5 years + experience in Accounting with preference experience with a Big 4.
  • Corporate Income Tax approach
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English and German any other European language is a strong asset.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Organizational skills, a self-starter with high level of analytical skills and resilience.
  • Working knowledge of SAP highly desirable.
  • US GAAP, GAAP in Austria, Germany and Switzerland.
  • Lead the review and maintenance of accurate and timely monthly reporting and statutory accounts in compliance with relevant regulations and standards mainly for German entities – Full responsibility of Balance and Profit and Loss Accounts.
  • German entities tax compliance, adapting processes and reviewing where possible to ensure best practice.
  • Supervise VAT decalaration
  • Providing oversight on certain control reviews and control implementation, include account reconciliations and other key controls for local and US GAAP.
  • Working with External Auditors to support Avient’s audit requirements.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies within the finance function, implementing best practices to enhance productivity and accuracy.
  • Support regional and corporate initiatives.
  • Other projects according to business requirements.
