POSITION SUMMARY: We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Healthcare Accounting Manager to lead and manage the financial operations of our healthcare organization, including the production of financial reports, maintenance of general ledger, and ensuring a comprehensive set of internal controls designed to mitigate risk, and enhance the accuracy of the company’s reported financial results to ensure compliance with applicable tax and regulatory requirements.  This position plays a key role in financial planning, profit analysis and strategic decision support.  The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with SAGE accounting software, as well as Paycor and Paycom reporting tools. ESSENTIAL DUTIES: * Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and related reports in compliance with GAAP and healthcare industry regulations. * Supervise and lead accounting department staff, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance in daily operations. * Perform monthly bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow. * Utilize SAGE software to manage budgets, forecasts and financial reporting. * Maintain fixed asset records and prepare depreciation schedules. * Lead and manage month-end and year-end close processes. * Support preparation of payroll-related reports and internal productivity metrics using Paycor. * Maintain and reconcile the general ledger across all business lines using Sage Accounting Software. * Oversee annual corporate tax preparation and ongoing tax planning throughout the fiscal year. * Conduct financial analysis of revenue, costs, and operational metrics to support decision-making. * Ensure consistency and accuracy of accounting procedures and policies. * Manage the budget planning process and provide variance analysis. * Develop, document, and implement internal controls and accounting procedures. * Assist with audits, ensuring compliance with state/federal regulations, and coordinate with external auditors if necessary. * Process deposits electronically via remote banking systems. * Stay current on accounting laws, standards, and best practices relevant to healthcare financial operations. * Participate in special projects and other tasks as assigned by leadership. POSITION REQUIREMENTS: A.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: * Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and guide staff. * Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities. * Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. * High ethical standards and ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information. * Effective interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal. * Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. * Technological competency * In-depth knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and tax compliance. * Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems, particularly Sage. * Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, formulas, and financial modeling. * Familiarity with payroll systems and financial dashboard/report development. * Understanding internal control design and audit readiness. * Strong technological proficiency, including comfort with computer systems, cloud platforms, and financial software tools QUALIFICATIONS: B. EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED: * Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required. * Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred, but not required * 5–10 years of accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or managerial role; healthcare experience strongly preferred. * Proficient in Sage Accounting Software and Microsoft 365 Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), HRIS System (Paycor). * Demonstrated experience in tax preparation and financial reporting.   BENEFITS: * Competitive salary based on experience * Health, dental, and vision insurance options * Paid time off and holidays * 401(k) plan with employer contribution after 1 year of service
