Description The Accounting Manager oversees core accounting operations within a manufacturing environment, with a strong focus on cost accounting, inventory, and month-end close. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting while partnering closely with operations to identify issues, improve processes, and strengthen systems. The ideal candidate is hands-on, solutions-oriented, and comfortable working both in the office and on the floor to resolve inventory and operational challenges. Key Responsibilities Oversee month-end close processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting Manage cost accounting, inventory accounting, and related analysis Partner with operations to address inventory discrepancies and improve accuracy Identify and resolve accounting and process issues across systems and workflows Drive process improvements and enhance accounting systems and controls Support overall accounting operations and ensure compliance with accounting standards Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required 10+ years of accounting experience, including a minimum of 5 years in a manufacturing environment Strong experience with cost accounting, inventory, and month-end close Experience working with ERP systems Hands-on, problem-solving mindset with a focus on process improvement Comfortable working in a manufacturing setting, including time spent on the floor with inventory Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills
