We are currently seeking an Accounting Manager – Financial Planning & Analysis to join our team on a full-time basis. Reporting to the Director of Finance, you will act as a leader in our full-cycle accounting team, overseeing the day-to-day accounting operations that you are responsible for and drive our financial processes and results. The Accounting Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis will play a key role in shaping the Firm’s financial strategy. In coordination with the Director of Finance and Accounting Manager, Financial Accounting, this role is responsible for budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, KPI tracking, profitability analysis, and supporting strategic decision-making. The Accounting Manager, FP&A partners closely with practice group leaders and operational departments to deliver data-driven insights, decision making and help support business performance.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA, CGA, CA, CMA) designation is required
  • Minimum four years of experience in an accounting position with full-cycle accounting experience is required
  • Advanced proficiency with accounting software and spreadsheet programs and applications is required
  • Experienced leader with well-developed strategic thinking, coaching and leadership skills, both on a formal and informal basis are required
  • Experience in a professional services environment is an asset
  • Experience with practice management and/or enterprise resource planning systems is preferred

Responsibilities
  • In coordination with the Director of Finance and Accounting Manager, Financial Accounting, this role is responsible for budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, KPI tracking, profitability analysis, and supporting strategic decision-making. The Accounting Manager, FP&A partners closely with practice group leaders and operational departments to deliver data-driven insights, decision making and help support business performance.
  • Oversees the following day-to-day accounting operations including accounts receivable, work in process (WIP), and payroll, while supervising corresponding staff and ensuring operational accuracy and compliance with firm policies and procedures
  • Assists in the management of the full-cycle accounting processes, with a focus on the period-end close, including reviewing and posting transactional batches, preparing journal entries, reconciling accounts, balancing inter-company transactions, coordinating government remittances, maintaining audit-ready working papers, and supporting external audit requirements
  • Assign tasks, set performance goals, and support the Accounting team by providing mentorship and initiating professional growth opportunities
  • Drives transformational change by identifying and implementing opportunities to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Provides redundancy for the Accounting Manager, Financial Accounting
  • Provide employee training, ensuring that all applicable compliance requirements are met
  • Any other duties as assigned by the Director of Finance
