Description We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to lead the accounting operations of a growing organization in the building systems and services sector. The Accounting Manager will oversee all accounting functions, ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, and provide strategic financial insights to support business growth. This role will report directly to the CFO and is critical in maintaining financial integrity and driving operational efficiency across multiple service lines. Requirements Key Responsibilities Financial Management & Reporting Oversee all accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and job costing. Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Ensure compliance with GAAP and applicable federal, state, and local regulations. Budgeting & Forecasting Assist in developing annual budgets and financial forecasts in collaboration with executive leadership. Monitor performance against budgets and provide variance analysis. Internal Controls & Compliance Implement and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets. Manage audits and liaise with external auditors and tax advisors. Strategic Support Provide financial insights to support pricing strategies, project profitability, and operational decision-making. Partner with operations and project management teams to ensure accurate job costing and margin analysis. Team Leadership Lead and mentor the accounting team, fostering a culture of accuracy, accountability, and continuous improvement. Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or CMA preferred). Experience: Minimum 6–8 years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 3 years in an Accounting Manager or senior finance leadership role. Experience in construction, contracting, or service-based industries strongly preferred. Skills: Strong knowledge of GAAP, job costing, and project accounting. Proficiency in ERP/accounting systems (e.g., Sage Intacct or similar). Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills. --- Why Join Us?
