THE OPPORTUNITY

Greyter Water Systems is seeking an Accounting Manager for a 12-month maternity leave contract. Reporting to the CFO, this role oversees the daily operations of the accounting department, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with accounting standards, and strong internal controls to support our manufacturing operations.

QUALIFICATIONS

· CPA designation preferred.
· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
· Minimum 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
· Experience in manufacturing or product-based industries preferred.
· Strong knowledge of Canadian GAAP and payroll regulations.

· Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
· Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
· Proficiency in ERP/accounting software and advanced Excel.
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
· Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

· Supervise and support daily accounting operations, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, and bank reconciliations.
· Prepare, review, and analyze monthly and annual financial statements.
· Maintain the general ledger and oversee timely, accurate month-end and year-end closings.
· Ensure compliance with internal policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
· Assist with budgeting and forecasting, including preparation of variance analyses.
· Coordinate and support external audits, acting as the primary liaison with auditors.
· Identify, recommend, and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
· Provide financial reports, data analysis, and ad hoc support to the CFO on special projects.
