Description Job Title: Accounting Manager – Integrion Group Department: Finance Reports to: Controller Position Summary: The Accounting Manager provides the leadership and management for the financial operations of New Mexico Mutual’s subsidiary, Integrion Group. This position will ensure proper controls and efficiencies are in place to support the overall financial operations of the company and is responsible for the timely and accurate reporting of financial information to appropriate parties. The Accounting Manager is responsible for execution of all operations of the finance team for Integrion Group, including staff development, process improvement, internal controls, and policies and procedures. Essential Functions: Design, implement and maintain internal processes and procedures to ensure the efficient and effective financial operation of the business. Manage, lead, mentor, and coordinate the work of accounting staff. Maintain and improve internal documentation of policies, processes, and procedures. Seek out opportunities for process optimizations and improvements. Direct preparation and reporting of monthly billings, payment issuance and management information. Administer client support as required per contractual terms including client reporting, payment issuance, advisory and board meetings, banking, reconciliations, preparation of financial statements and external audit and tax support. Manage monthly financial statement close and reporting process for the Integrion Group, including account analysis and reconciliation. Oversee all external audit functions. Lead corporate tax activities. Ensure regulatory compliance and unqualified audit opinion. Ensure integrity, timeliness and relevance of all information reported. Develop and maintain financial reporting and analysis in support of Director of Operations and the Board of Directors. Work closely with key staff to develop annual financial forecast and budget; report results and analyze trends Other duties as assigned. Job Qualifications: Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance Experience: 7 years of related Accounting experience; 2 years of management responsibility. Required Skills/Abilities: Understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles Analytical thinking and attention to detail Ability to monitor own work to ensure quality Ability to exercise a high level of initiative and problem-solving skills Professional communication with internal and external contacts Strong management and organizational skills Specialized Knowledge, Licenses, etc.: Windows-based PC software (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) Scanning software; 10-key Commercial general ledger software; web-based banking, treasury and regulatory reporting applications CPA, CIA, CFE, etc. preferred Values and Mission: Adheres to New Mexico Mutual’s values and mission by demonstrating Service Excellence, Trust, Ownership, One Team and Boldness in thought and action.
