JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounting Manager to oversee our financial operations and ensure compliance with accounting standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills and a thorough understanding of financial management principles. This role is pivotal in maintaining accurate financial records, preparing reports, and providing insights that drive business decisions.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
  • Proven experience in financial accounting, including technical accounting knowledge.
  • Commercial Real Estate is preferred.
  • Strong skills in balance sheet reconciliation, account reconciliation, and accrual accounting.
  • Proficiency in financial report writing and analysis.
  • Familiarity with securities law and compliance regulations.
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy in English and Spanish.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively convey complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Experience at a big four firm is a plus.

Responsibilities
  • Manage the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
  • Oversee balance sheet reconciliation and ensure accuracy in account reconciliation processes.
  • Lead the accrual accounting process to ensure timely recognition of revenue and expenses.
  • Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement.
  • Prepare detailed financial reports for internal stakeholders and external regulatory bodies.
  • Ensure compliance with securities law and other regulatory requirements affecting financial reporting.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support financial management initiatives.
  • Provide guidance on technical accounting issues and implement best practices within the accounting team.
