Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Accounting Manager to oversee our full-cycle accounting operations across Canada and the U.S. This role will play a key part in maintaining financial accuracy, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and supporting our continued growth. You will also lead and mentor our accounting team while driving process improvements and managing the integration of accounting functions across multiple locations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the full cycle of accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliations, and month-end/year-end processes.
  • Prepare and analyze accurate financial statements and reports for the Canadian and U.S. operations.
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP, tax regulations, and other relevant accounting standards in both countries.
  • Manage and optimize the company’s use of QuickBooks for financial tracking and reporting.
  • Monitor cash flow, budgets, and forecasts, providing actionable insights to support business decisions.
  • Collaborate with external auditors, tax consultants, and government agencies as needed.
  • Lead and mentor the team, including team members in Vancouver, Toronto, and Los Angeles, fostering a supportive and results-driven environment.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and improve operational efficiency.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
  • Minimum 3 years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 2 years in a managerial role.
  • Experience in the logistics, freight forwarding, or transportation industry is an asset.
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and locations.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $28.00-$32.00 per hour
