POSITION OVERVIEW:

KAD Consulting Services is seeking a Manager Accounting who can work independently and manage a team of accountants and junior accountants across various engagements and projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing financial information, ensuring compliance with legal financial requirements, and providing financial, business, and tax advice.

Responsibilities

Financial Reporting: Prepare financial information for corporate clients, including management monthly reporting. financial statements, and presentations. Prepare financial statements and annual reports for management and companies.
Accounting Systems: Plan, set up, and document flowcharts and narratives for accounting systems. Analyze financial documents and reports.
Tax Filings: Prepare, review, and/or upload all corporate tax filings, including T2, T3, and personal tax filings (T1), GST filings, payroll filings, etc.
Compliance and Policies: Maintain accounting controls by preparing and recommending policies and procedures. Research and interpret accounting policies and regulations to answer procedure-related questions. Ensure compliance with all legal financial requirements and advise management on necessary actions.
Advisory: Provide financial, business, and tax advice to clients and management.
Skills Required:
Detail-Oriented: Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all financial reporting and documentation.
Accounting Experience: Proven experience in day-to-day accounting operations.
Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills with the ability to self-motivate and learn independently.
Independence: Ability to work independently without supervision.
Communication: Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with clients and team members.
Team Management: Experience managing a team of 4 to 5 Accountants and senior Accountants.
Resource Management: Resource management experience to ensure efficient use of financial and human resources.
Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint presentations.
Relocation: Willingness to relocate to Calgary, Alberta.

Canadian Accounting and Financial Statements: 8 years (required)
Advisory: 2 years (preferred)
Payroll Processing: 3 years (preferred)
Corporate Tax: 5 years (preferred)
QuickBooks: 8 years (required)
