Lindsay LLP opened its doors on January 1, 2013 but originated as an insurance defence firm over thirty years ago. The firm is an acknowledged leader in the field of insurance law and civil litigation.
We are currently seeking a full-time Accounting Manager to join our team.
QUALIFICATIONS:
· 5+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a law firm
· A degree in accounting, finance, economics, or a related field
· CPA Certification preferred
· Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software, Acumin preferred
· Experience with electronic billing (Ledes files) an asset
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
· Strong organizational skills, and the ability to multitask
· Oversee the day-to-day accounting functions of the firm, including trust, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and regulatory reporting
· Prepare monthly financial statements and reports
· Prepare budgeting and forecasting functions
· Work closely with partners and lawyers to ensure accurate and timely billing and collections
