ACCOUNTING MANAGER

LOGIS has an opportunity for an Accounting Manager within our Finance & Administration Team. This position is responsible for oversight of all accounting and financial reporting activities. The Accounting Manager will also be responsible for supervising the daily operations of the LOGIS-supported financial software application team.

Responsibilities of this position include:

  • Oversee all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems ensuring compliance with appropriate GASB & GAAP standards and regulatory requirements
  • Maintain internal control and safeguards for receipt of revenue, costs, and program budgets and actual expenses
  • Manage all audit activity internally and with external auditors
  • Consistently analyze financial data
  • Communicate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, monitor progress and changes and keep the finance director abreast of financial status
  • Assist with the annual budgeting and planning process, administer and review all financial plans and compare actual results with the ability to identify, explain, and correct variances as appropriate
  • Ensure that policies, government and IRS regulations are adhered to
  • Supervise the daily operations of the financial software application support staff ensuring the success of our membership clients
  • Research, analyze and recommend enhancements, upgrades, and implementation of new software for our membership
  • Facilitate User Group meetings to provide demos, training sessions, and training materials
  • Provide a respectful and professional environment consistent with LGOIS’ culture
  • Serve as an active participant in organization-wide projects and initiatives

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or related field
  • Minimum of seven years of experience in the following areas:
  • Accounting or related field
  • Knowledge of auditing principles and practices, and the ability to analyze

and implement internal controls

  • Solid experience with general ledger, payroll, government investment

accounting, accounts payables and receivables

  • Supervisory experience, with the ability to coach and mentor staff
  • Extensive experience working within various industry software packages, such as JDEdwards, Workday, BS&A, Tyler, ADP, NeoGov, or other leading industry software
  • Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing with clients, vendors, and internal staff
  • A high level of skill in the analysis of problems and formulation of solutions, with the ability to apply critical thinking skills of analysis, inference, and evaluation
  • Government accounting experience is preferred
  • Technology savvy with experience in software implementation and data conversion desired

In addition, we offer a flexible hybrid work schedule. Hiring range for this position is $117k-$132k annually. Salary will be dependent on qualifications and experience.
