Accounting Manager (Multi Entity) Location: near Lansing, MI Salary: $100,000 - $130,000 + Benefits Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k), PTO, Holidays Job Type: Full-Time | On-site Typical Hours: Monday - Friday, 40-45 hours/week Travel: Local day trip once per month (half hour from main office) Start Date: ASAP Sponsorship is not available Accounting Manager (Multi Entity) Description Our client is looking for an Accounting Manager (Multi Entity) to add to their team near Lansing, MI. In this role, you will own day-to-day accounting across multiple standalone entities (no complex consolidations), keeping the books current and organized, including month-end close, reconciliations, general ledger activity, and ownership reporting while overseeing a small AR/AP support team. Our client is looking for someone with at least five years of full-cycle accounting experience in a hands-on, multi-entity environment. To be successful in the role, you must be self-directed, detail-oriented, and comfortable working with different stakeholders across the business. This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll both execute the accounting work and oversee a small team – ideal for someone who enjoys staying close to the work while leading others. Accounting Manager (Multi Entity) Responsibilities • Maintain accounting records across multiple entities • Own month-end close and account reconciliations • Record journal entries and manage general ledger activity • Prepare monthly financial reports for leadership • Support year-end close and audit-ready documentation • Track routine accounting, sales tax and compliance activities • Manage a 3-person support team handling accounts receivable and payable • Ensure accuracy and consistency across entity-level financials Accounting Manager (Multi Entity) Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required • 5+ years of full-cycle accounting experience required • Multi-entity accounting experience required • Proficiency with accounting software and Excel required
