This is a rare and exciting opportunity to join our high achieving, fast paced accounting team and to lead our Finance and Administration Department. We are offering a highly competitive remuneration package for the right person. What you’ll bring to the table Appropriate tertiary qualification and/or equivalent knowledge Minimum of 5 years post qualification work experience People leader with a strong team-focus and the ability to coach, guide, develop and lead effectively Working knowledge of accounting standards, legislation and practices Experience in or knowledge of the contracting/infrastructure business is preferred Demonstrated analytical skills and a high-level understanding of financial data and information Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with staff Good organisational and communication skills Works well in a team however also competent in self-management and working independently Role Accountabilities Preparation and review of monthly management accounts and reporting Preparation of monthly turnover reporting Operational leadership of the annual budgeting process and leadership of external audit of the region Collate, evaluate and process work in progress, accruals and any other required journals for selected departments Lead improvements and initiatives to enable efficient and effective processes, systems and procedures Review and approve balance sheet reconciliations and prepare supporting documentation as required Review and approve GST, FBT and other statutory reports Lead the administration team to develop a culture of safety by open communication and leadership Manage the administration team, including staff training and development planning Management of other financial matters He pai te mahi, he pai ngā painga | Good work, good benefits At Fulton Hogan, we genuinely care about the wellbeing of our people and giving them the tools and opportunities they need to succeed and grow with us.
