MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, including supervisory responsibilities.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and full cycle accounting processes.
  • Proficiency in bank reconciliation, general ledger management, and balance sheet preparation.
  • Experience with accounting systems and software relevant to healthcare financial management.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) designation.
  • Experience in the healthcare services industry or a related regulated environment.
  • Advanced proficiency in job costing and cost accounting methodologies.
  • Familiarity with healthcare financial regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Experience implementing or managing enterprise resource planning (ERP) accounting modules.

The Accounting Manager utilizes bank reconciliation skills daily to ensure that all cash transactions are accurately recorded and discrepancies are promptly addressed, maintaining financial integrity. ABOUT THE ROLE:

The Accounting Manager in our Health Care Services corporate office plays a pivotal role in overseeing and managing the full spectrum of accounting functions to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with regulatory standards. This position is responsible for leading the accounting team in maintaining the integrity of financial data through meticulous bank reconciliations, general ledger management, and balance sheet preparation. The Accounting Manager will also oversee job costing and cost accounting processes to support budgeting and financial analysis critical to operational decision-making. By applying sound accounting principles and leveraging advanced accounting systems, this role ensures that all financial activities align with organizational goals and healthcare industry regulations. Ultimately, the Accounting Manager contributes to the financial health and transparency of the organization, enabling strategic planning and sustainable growth.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage and supervise daily accounting operations including general ledger, accounts payable and receivable, and bank reconciliations.
  • Oversee full cycle accounting processes ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and healthcare regulations.
  • Prepare and analyze balance sheets, income statements, and other financial reports to provide insights into financial performance.
  • Coordinate job costing and cost accounting activities to support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team to enhance productivity and maintain high-quality financial reporting.
  • Collaborate with internal departments and external auditors to facilitate audits and resolve accounting discrepancies.
