Description POSITION OVERVIEW: The Accounting Manager is a highly skilled and detail-oriented Accounting Manager to lead our accounting team and ensure the accuracy and integrity of our financial records. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Supervise and mentor accounting staff, including accountants, bookkeepers, and clerks. Oversee and manage the daily operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll. Assign tasks, monitor performance, and provide feedback. Lead and motivate the team to achieve goals and objectives. Conduct performance evaluations and appraisals. Prepare, analyze, and review financial statements and reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and regulations. Conduct financial analysis and provide insights to support decision-making. Manage month-end and year-end closing procedures. Participate in payroll processes. Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations. Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts. Oversee and manage the daily operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll. Coordinate and support external audits, tax filings, and regulatory compliance activities. Lead, mentor, and evaluate accounting staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performance team environment. Monitor financial performance and provide insights and recommendations to senior management for strategic decision-making. Ensure timely and accurate month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes. Develop and implement accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to enhance efficiency and safeguard company assets. Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy. Communicate financial information clearly and effectively to both internal and external stakeholders. Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth financial operations. Requirements REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS: Proven work experience as an Accounting Manager Strong written and oral communication; strong interpersonal skills Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Strong leadership and supervisory skills Strong computer skills, MS Excel in particular (managing spreadsheets, creating chart and using advanced formulas) Solid knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, laws and regulations Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Self-motivated, takes initiative, can work independently and as part of a team Strong orientation to deadline and detail Ability to work in a continuously changing environment, flexible Curiosity and a passion for learning Team management skills. Ability to prioritize work.
